Introduction to OptiMatch®

FACT:
Did you know that all optimizers are not created equal? Bigger is not necessarily better. Have you heard the old saw: "Jack of all trades and master of none?" Well, in trying to be "all things to all people," large work stations can't really be dedicated to any one thing - we can, we tailor our programs for specific applications! We have tested our dedicated optimizer against several other big programs, selling at a much higher price (think thousands of $$), and against a full blown $40K work station. Guess what? Many times, they lose.

EASE OF USE:
This program is menu driven and very simple to use. The User Manual is clearly written, (you can READ IT on-line), and tutorial in nature. It introduces the User to the concept of network optimization, in simple terms, and using everyday circuit examples. For the advanced User, an Expert mode is provided. It allows access to the Fletcher-Reeves algorithm variables for specialized tasks. How can you make a choice if you don't have a choice?

We used LC start values of 25 nH and 5 pF. These values gave an initial
worst case VSWR of ~ 4 across the band. So that you
can check us out, (and them), the final optimized LC values, (from left to right), are given below, along with those provided by the $40K
work station.
