FACT:
Did you know that all
optimizers are not created equal? Bigger is not
necessarily better. Have you heard the old saw: "Jack of all trades and
master of none?" Well, in trying to be "all things to all people,"
large work stations can't really be dedicated to any one thing - we
can, we tailor our programs for specific
applications! We have tested our dedicated
optimizer against several other big programs, selling at a much
higher price (think thousands of $$), and against a full blown $40K
work station. Guess what? Many times, they lose.
QUESTION:
Why isn't our OptiMatch
program in your
tool box? Managers: Instead of having your engineers wasting time,
standing in line, and waiting for "Big Brother," why not give them an
easy to use personal productivity tool that packs a big
wallop!
EXAMPLE:
Here is a 100-500 MHz
broadband impedance
match example that is (was) featured by a well known $40K work station
vendor. We figure he really thinks its great.
Otherwise, why feature it?
Note:
We used LC start values of 25 nH and 5 pF. These values gave an initial
worst case VSWR of ~ 4 across the band. So that you
can
check us out, (and them), the final optimized LC
values, (from left to right), are given below, along with those
provided by the $40K
work
station.
Compare the results - then decide!
ELEMENT VALUES:
Here is a tabulation of the
final element values, (in nH and pF given from left
to right), found by OptiMatch,
and those found by the $40K work station. Check them out!
EASE OF USE:
This
program is
menu driven and very simple to use. The User Manual is clearly written,
(you can READ IT on-line), and tutorial in nature. It introduces the
User to the concept of network optimization, in simple terms, and using
everyday circuit examples. For the advanced User,
an Expert mode is provided. It allows access to the
Fletcher-Reeves algorithm variables for specialized
tasks. How can you make a choice if you don't have
a choice?
MATERIAL
INCLUDED:
The program, and its support files,
can be downloaded, by you, direct from our server. The User Manual for
OptiMatch is available on-line.
You can view it or print it out
at your leisure. By having an on-line manual,
you're assured that you will get any typo error
corrections or tips instantly! Your manual will never
